Premium Release Agent for Concrete Formwork

Sika® Form Oil is a high-performance form release agent specially developed to provide clean and easy removal of concrete formwork. It creates a thin protective film that prevents concrete from sticking to moulds, resulting in smooth surface finishes, reduced maintenance, and longer formwork life.

It is suitable for timber, plywood, steel, and plastic formwork used in residential, commercial, and infrastructure construction projects.

Product Details

Sika® Form Oil is a ready-to-use release agent designed to improve concrete surface quality while protecting formwork from excessive concrete adhesion.

Specially formulated mineral oil-based release agent with performance-enhancing additives.

Up to 12 months when stored in unopened original packaging under recommended storage conditions.

Approximately 0.85–0.90 kg/L at +25°C.

Application

Apply a thin and even coat of Sika® Form Oil using a brush, roller, or spray before placing concrete. Ensure complete coverage of the formwork surface and avoid excessive application.

Consumption depends on the type and condition of the formwork surface. Typical coverage ranges from 20–40 m² per litre under normal application conditions.

  • Clean the formwork surface thoroughly.
  • Apply a thin, uniform coat.
  • Allow the coating to spread evenly.
  • Pour concrete after application.
  • Remove formwork after concrete has adequately cured.
